FlashLock is a keyless access control system that opens with your smartphone or a small fob. No metal keys, no wiring at the door, and no network connection needed at the lock. Access is granted through a coded flash of light using rolling-code technology (the same family your garage door remote uses, hardened for industrial locks), and every opening is recorded automatically.

How it works
Each FlashLock, whether it’s a padlock, vending machine lock (also called a plug lock), or cabinet lock, contains the electronics to verify who’s allowed in. Instead of a metal key, the person uses the mobile app or a pre-programmed fob. The lock checks the credential, opens if that person is authorized for that lock at that time, and records the event.
Because the lock needs no wiring and no internet connection, you can put one anywhere: a storage cage in a basement, a gate at the far end of a property, a supply cabinet, a trailer.
What makes it different from a hardware-store smart lock?
Consumer smart locks are built for a front door and a family. FlashLock is built for organizations. You manage every lock and every person from one cloud dashboard, grant access by schedule, hand out temporary access that expires on its own, and pull an audit trail showing exactly who opened what, and when. Does FlashLock need Wi-Fi at the lock? No. The lock needs no network connection. Permissions and audit data sync through the app.
What happens if a phone dies? Fobs provide a backup credential, and administrators control everything from the dashboard.
Does FlashLock need a battery? Yes. Each lock runs on a CR123 lithium battery that typically lasts a year or more at up to ten openings a day, and the lock’s LEDs warn you when it runs low.
How is access managed? Through a cloud dashboard where you set people, schedules, and permissions, and view every access event.
